The EFCC is challenging young Nigerians to write a minimum of 1000-word essay on how to tackle financial crimes in the country.

The EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) is a Nigerian Law Enforcement Agency. Its main goal is to fight financial corruption. I think this should give an insight into what the essay topic might be.

This is not the first time the EFCC is organizing an essay competition.

How to Enter for the EFCC 2021 essay

Write and submit an original essay on the topic: “How to fight Economic and Financial crimes to make Nigeria Great Again

You can check for ideas on the internet, but try not to copy another person’s work. I believe the judges from the media, academia, and civil society organizations can smell plagiarism from afar. Hence, ensure your essay is original and not copied.


You must be a Nigerian Youth to apply.

Essay Requirements:

  • The essay must represent the topic.
  • It must not be more than 1000 words
  • Submit your essay online.

Simply submit your essay to any of the following EFCC email addresses: info@efcc.gov.ng or info@efccnigeria.org.

Application Deadline:

Monday, 15th November 2021

The Commission will announce the top 3 winners on the 9th of December, 2021 in Abuja.
