The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has announced Professor Razaq Olatunde Kalilu as the acting Vice-Chancellor of the institution. Professor Kalilu is a renowned scholar and polymath with a distinguished career in art and art history.
Professor Kalilu is a graduate of the University of Ife and the University of Ibadan. LAUTECH promoted him to Professor of Arts and Arts History in 1999, after he joined the university in 1992. He has held a number of leadership positions at LAUTECH, including Head of Department, Dean of Faculty, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

Professor Kalilu is a prolific scholar and has published extensively in the field of art and art history. He is also a gifted artist and has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions in Nigeria and abroad.
In his new role as Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kalilu is committed to promoting excellence in teaching, research, and community service at LAUTECH. His goal is to ensure that LAUTECH remains a leading institution of higher learning in Nigeria.
