MTN mPulse Spelling Bee 2021: All you need to know

The MTN mPulse Spelling is back! In this post, I'm going to share everything you need to know about the competition.

About the Competiton

The mPulse Spelling Bee competition is organized by MTN Nigeria in association with Nestle Golden Morn. The aim of the competition is to motivate Nigerian students to learn standardized spelling.

The 2021 Spelling Bee is held for primary and secondary school students, whose schools have registered on the mPulse website. It features only students between ages 9 and 15 years old.

Winners of the competition win over Seven Million Naira (N7,000,000) worth of prizes, which include scholarship grants, cash prizes, smartphones, laptops, and so on.

The MTN mPulse Spelling Bee competition has three rounds.

Round One: The first round of the competition is open to all Nigerian students who fall within the eligibility age. The competition will take place online – specifically on the mPulse website. The best 1000 students from this round will then qualify for round 2.

Round two: Just like the first round, the competition in the second round will also take place online. The best 20 spellers here will move to the final round.

Final Round: This will hold online via live video conferencing.

MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Application Criteria

Before applying for the competition, please note the following

  1. Candidates must be between 9 and 15 years old.
  2. You must be living in Nigera before you can take part in the competition. This means that Nigerians resident abroad cannot participate.
  3. To be a participant, you must ensure you sign up for an account on the MTN mPulse website
  4. Ensure you are using an MTN network and you must be on mPulse tariff plan. If you aren’t on the plan yet, don’t worry; simply dial *344*1# and you’re all set.

mPulse Spelling Bee competition Date

According to the organization of the competition, the first round will start 3 pm on Monday, 13th of September till the 3rd of October 2021.
