Where to get your Birth Certificate

In Nigeria, It only takes about 2 months after birth before a birth certificate is issued to parents by the National Population Commission via the hospital. This certificate contains your name, your date of birth, and so on. Hence, there is a good chance you have yours somewhere in the house. Look for it.

If you cannot find it, however, don’t lose hope. Obtaining a new one is super easy and won’t cost you much.

The body of the Government that issues a birth certificate is the National Population Commission (NPC). You can find them in many places including, Hospitals, Local Government Councils, NPC centers, Health centers, and so on.

The easiest way to get a new Birth certificate is to visit the Local Government Authority closest to you. You may be asked for a sworn affidavit from a court before you can get a new birth certificate.

Please note that YABATECH isn’t accepting an affidavit for screening.

Where can you get a Reference/Attestation letter?

If you are a religious person, you can easily get your letter of reference from your religious leader (Pastor/Imam). This letter must be written with the Church or Mosque’s letter-headed paper, containing the necessary information.

You can also get a reference letter from a Lawyer, a Civil servant, or people of a certain rank in the society. This shouldn’t cost you a penny.

Where to obtain your Original O’level results/certificate

We need to make emphasis the fact that YABATECH only requires your original result for screening. Having said this, getting your original result isn’t as difficult as it may sound.

WAEC (WASSCE and GCE) candidates can obtain their results from the WAEC office closest to them. Similarly, NECO candidates are to visit the nearest NECO office to collect theirs.

on the other hand, to collect your certificate, please return to the school where you wrote the respective examination.

So, that’s it, guys!

I think we have covered basically everything you need to get you started with your YABATECH registration and screening. You really don’t need a third party to do any of these things for you. If you have a personal computer, you shouldn’t have a problem doing it yourself.

However, you may seek help from a reliable person if you find things overwhelming.

if you have more questions, please leave them in the comment section.
