Is Yabatech HND Part-Time Form out?

Yes, the application form has been available since January 2023 and it is open to candidates who meet the basic requirements. There is no specific deadline, but I encourage you to register as soon as you can before classes will begin.

YABATECH Part-Time Requirements For HND

• a minimum of 5 credits in mathematics, English, and 3 other relevant subjects either in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. You can use two O’level results
• All applicants must meet a minimum of lower credit in their National Diploma.
• You must have completed a mandatory one-year industrial training.
• you must have obtained a National Diploma certificate either from Yabatech or other Polytechnics.

How to Apply for Part-Time Admission

1. Visit the official website

To sign up for a course at Yabatech, visit the sign-up page and fill out the form with your correct information. You can choose to study on weekends or weekdays, and you will need to select a course of study. Be absolutely sure about the course you are picking. Once you have submitted the form, you will not be able to change your course of study unless you pay a penalty fee. Click submit

2. Generate Payment Invoice

You will see an invoice after completing step 1 above. Your invoice contains your invoice number (RRR), which you will use for payment. It also contains your YCT Application Number and your registration fee. Be sure to save it so that you won’t lose these important details.

To pay the invoice online, click on the “Pay online with Credit/ATM Card” button at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the Remita payment page, where you can pay a sum of N10,000 (excluding Remita charges). Remita offers a variety of payment methods, so you can choose the one that is most convenient for you.

3. Log In to Confirm your Payment

Once you have successfully paid, you can log in to the application portal using the link below. Your YCT Application Number will be your username, and your surname will be your password.

After logging in, enter your Invoice Number (RRR) and click “Submit” to check your payment status. If your payment is approved, you will be redirected to the application form. If your payment is not approved, it may be because you entered the RRR incorrectly. Please make sure to remove the hyphen between the RRR numbers.

4. Fill Out the Application Form

Provide your date of birth, state of origin, home address, and other important information. Upload a clear photo of yourself with a suitable background. Select the number of O’level results you are using. Click “Next” to proceed.

5. Fill Out Details about Your Previous Institution

After completing step 4, you will be redirected to a new page where you will need to fill out a form about your previous institution. Provide the name of your previous polytechnic, year of graduation, level of pass, previous course, and other relevant information. Click “Next” to proceed.

6. Verify your O’level Result

It is now time for the verification of O’level. It costs only N4,000 to verify a single O’level result or one sitting and N8,000 if you are using two sittings.

After completing step 5, you will see a new invoice for O’level verification. The invoice number (RRR) and the fee will be similar to the previous one. You can complete your payment using any of the Remita options.

Once your payment is confirmed, you can fill out your O’level subjects and their respective grades. When you are done, preview the form one last time to confirm that all of the information is correct. Then, submit the form. Download your registration form for future reference.

7. Print Your Admission Letter

After completing your registration, sign in to your portal to view your admission letter. That’s right! One of the best things about applying for part-time studies is that admission is instantaneous. As long as you meet the requirements, you will be offered admission right away. This is not the same with full-time programmes which require JAMB cut-off marks and entrance exams.

What If You’re not Offered An admission

If you don’t see an admission letter after completing your registration, it is likely that you do not meet the O’level requirements for the course you applied for. This is why it is important to check the Olevel requirements for your course before applying.

What’s the way out? Switch to a different course that requires your O’level subject combination. However, changing courses is not something you can do on your own. There is a procedure that you must follow.

You are required to write a letter requesting a change of course. This letter should be addressed to the school’s registrar. Please note that the processing time for your request may range from one to two months, and a fee of N5,000 is applicable.
